Salary
*€47,812 - €60,693 per annum includes provision for a further two Long Service Increments after 3 and 6 years respectively on the maximum of the scale for permanent staff
*(A modified scale may apply to existing public/civil servants)
Nature of Employment
Wholetime, permanent/contract and pensionable in accordance with the General Conditions of Employment for Permanent/Contract Staff as appropriate.
Area of Work
The appointee will be assigned to the Office of Communications and Corporate Services, Information Technology (IT) Unit.
Duties and Responsibilities

Specific Duties
Reporting to a Programme Manager or other designated officer within the Information Technology Unit, Office of Communications and Corporate Services. Principal responsibilities will be the design, implementation and support of the IT Infrastructure.

Participating in the continual development and implementation of the IT Infrastructure strategy

Developing and designing a secure IT Infrastructure in conjunction with the IT team and all key stakeholders

Implementing new and upgrading existing IT Infrastructure solutions, as a team member and as a team leader

Keeping abreast of new technological developments, systems and assessing how they might be applied to the EPA

Managing Service Providers

Preparing proposals on funding and managing budgets
General Duties

Supervising and motivating project teams as required

Acquiring a clear and detailed understanding of relevant legislation and security best practices

Preparing reports, developing and implementing projects and work programmes

Undertaking such other duties appropriate to the post which may be assigned from time to time.
