The Position Our products are LabSys LIMS and LIMS/400 which are Windows and IBM AS/400 based Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) designed for the regulated industries - primarily the Pharmaceuticals, Food & Drink and Chemicals sectors. The position involves: Customer Support, including: Developing fixes/patches from detailed Software Defects Fault finding, fixing and developer testing of developed software Development, including Developing programs from a detailed Technical (Program) Specification and developer testing of same Writing of Technical (Program) Specification from a User Requirements/Functional Specification Requirements: Experience of Progress V8/V9 ADE Experience of MS Office suite The person employed will ideally have between 1-3yrs experience and will need to be flexible, motivated and to possess a high level of personal interaction skills as the position will involve considerable interaction with the Development Team. Child Benefit Payments for Irish Workers

Migrant Workers living in Ireland can claim child Benefit for the children - even if their children are not living in Ireland. Child Benefit is aboy €150 per month per child - with the new payment for under 6's coming onstream in the summer - which brings it up to €233 a month for any child under 6. When I applied for child Benfefit 2 years ago - in my name (being the stay at home dad) - Iwas told that the claimant had to be the mother! So unless this "rule" has changed - I wonder how fathers working in Ireland will be able to claim Child Benefit for their children living in Poland or Lithuania. I hope it doesn't lead to people nipping over to Ireland , getting work for a few months then moving back home but still getting the Child Benefit. Once you claim it - as far as I am aware if you havi it paid into a bank account there are no further checks or forms to fill after the initial claim. So how are they going to prevent people from abusing the system. I know there is a check made to ex UK residents to ensure they are not claiming Child Benefit in the UK as well as in Ireland. Is a similar check possible for all the other EU countries?
